About Bolindale
Bolindale is a residential CDP in southern Howland Township, part of the Youngstown–Warren metro but with a neighborhood map of its own. Howland grew from Connecticut Western Reserve farms and mills into an industrial-era suburb as Warren's steel and manufacturing jobs pulled the township closer to the Mahoning Valley. Bolindale sits inside that change: wooded edges and older township roads meet postwar homes, schools, and everyday commercial corridors.
Bolindale-DeForest Park is the local hinge, with playground space, fields, and room for neighborhood events. It is the sort of neighborhood where a park boundary can matter as much as a township line. The Howland Township Park District also runs Howland Community Park and Morgandale Park, and its wider preserve protects more than 200 acres of wetland and boardwalk landscape from development. Howland Local Schools and the township's police, fire, EMS, and road services fill in the daily framework. Bolindale is a suburban pocket with a useful bit of green Ohio still tucked behind the houses.
