About Bonney
Bonney is a village in Brazoria County, Texas, United States. The 2020 census counted 180 residents. Bonney is, however, approximately fifteen times larger than the smallest city and the smallest town in Texas. Bonney was founded in 1873 as a station on the International–Great Northern Railroad. The Texas Legislature designated portions of Angleton ISD that by September 1, 1995, had not been annexed by Alvin Community College as in the Brazosport College zone. That mix gives Bonney a clear local shape within Texas, with older layers still visible in current places. The local scoop is a place whose streets, landmarks, and institutions keep its earlier story close to the present. In January 1837 he was the senior brigadier general in the Texas army. Bonney is 10 miles north of Angleton, the county seat, and 13 miles south of Arcola. Bonney's downtown is part of the local map.
