Bound Brook, NJ

Bound Brook is a Somerset County borough along the Raritan River, with settlement dating to the late seventeenth century near the stream that gave the town its name. A bridge over the Raritan helped make the place a crossing point, and river geography still shapes its identity, including flooding risks and trail development. Bound Brook has a dense, older downtown and rail access, giving it a more urban feel than many nearby suburbs. It is compact, historic, and very much a river town.
