Boykin, also known as Gee's Bend, is a historic African American community and census-designated place in Wilcox County, Alabama. Located on a distinctive peninsula of land enclosed on three sides by a horseshoe bend of the Alabama River, the community of approximately 210 residents has a Boykin Post Office established in 1949. The community is renowned nationally for its tradition of artistic quiltmaking, with works displayed at leading museums.
