Boykin, SC

Boykin is a tiny, historic community in Kershaw County, settled just south of Camden. The heart of the area centers on the Boykin Mill Pond, where a working grist mill, restored country store, and handmade broom shop preserve centuries of rural South Carolina heritage. It is also known as the birthplace of the Boykin Spaniel, the state dog. With fewer than a hundred residents, Boykin offers a peaceful, scenic slice of the Midlands for anyone drawn to deep roots, historic charm, and quiet countryside living.
