About Bradford
Bradford is a village split between Darke and Miami counties, with Ohio State Route 721 doubling as its main street and county line. The place grew out of the railroad: the first train reached the Miami–Darke line in 1857, and the village was later named for railroad official Tom Bradford. Bradford Exempted Village Schools still lean into that history—the Railroaders are the mascot—and the annual Pumpkin Show keeps the calendar local. Bradford is western Ohio in a two-county, one-village arrangement.
