Piqua, OH

Piqua is a city in Miami County, Ohio, situated along the Great Miami River twenty-seven miles north of Dayton. Rich in historical significance as a former Shawnee capital, the city of approximately 20,600 was the site of the nation's first municipally operated nuclear power facility in the mid-twentieth century. Today, the community supports local manufacturing and is served by the Piqua City School District and the Upper Valley Career Center.
