Bridgeport, NJ

Set along the Delaware River in Logan Township, Bridgeport is a small, quiet Gloucester County community with deep historical roots. Home to just a couple hundred residents where Raccoon Creek empties into the river, it was originally established by Swedish colonists around 1650 as New Stockholm. Over the years, locals called the area Raccoon Lower Bridge until 1844, when residents voted on the name Bridgeport ahead of opening their first local post office.
