Brilliant, OH

Brilliant is a small riverfront community tucked along the banks of the Ohio River in eastern Jefferson County. Located about seven miles south of Steubenville, it offers a quiet, relaxed pace with convenient access to the larger Weirton and Wheeling areas. The town earned its memorable name in the 1880s from the Brilliant Glass Company, a local manufacturer that shaped its early growth. Today, it remains a close-knit residential pocket with deep industrial roots and scenic views across the water toward West Virginia.
