About Buellton

Buellton is a small Santa Barbara County city in the Santa Ynez Valley, three miles west of Solvang and set at the junction of U.S. 101 and State Route 246. It has long served travelers with hotels, restaurants, and roadside stops, including the former Pea Soup Andersen's, which gave the town its old split-pea-soup identity. Buellton also sits close to wine country and gained extra visibility from Sideways. The city is small, practical, and very much a highway-and-valley place.
