Bunkerville, NV

Bunkerville is an unincorporated town and census-designated place in Clark County's Virgin River valley. Mormon pioneers from Utah settled the community in 1877, and the river made agriculture possible in a part of Nevada better known for desert heat than for fields and orchards. The town sits near the eastern edge of the Las Vegas-Clark County service area, with Mesquite and the wider Virgin Valley providing larger shopping, employment, and regional connections. Bunkerville's landscape is all about the meeting of river water, irrigated ground, and dry mountain country.

The Bunkerville Community Center gives the town a surprisingly full recreation circuit. Thomas Dudley Leavitt Sr. Memorial Park includes a spray pad, pavilion, lighted softball and soccer fields, tennis, basketball, sand volleyball, and restrooms. A branch of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District provides another local stop, while county roads lead toward the Virgin River and nearby public lands. Bunkerville's modern life is practical and spread out: school and library trips, farm roads, community-center games, and long desert views. It is a small river settlement with an old pioneer beginning and a very active county recreation center.
