Burgoon is a tiny village in Sandusky County, surrounded by open farmland just west of Fremont. Founded in the 1870s along the local rail line, the community has settled into a quiet, easygoing rhythm over the years. It is mainly a small cluster of homes where neighbors know one another and traffic stays light. While you get plenty of peace and wide-open space at home, Fremont is close by for daily shopping and dining, and Lake Erie is an easy trip for weekend getaways.
