Butler is a city and the county seat of Butler County, Pennsylvania, located thirty-five miles north of Pittsburgh. Settled in 1803 and famous for developing the original Willys Jeep prototype during World War II, the industrial community of approximately 13,212 is served by the Butler Area School District for public primary and secondary education.
