Cabery, IL

Cabery is a quiet, tight-knit village that sits right on the border of Ford and Kankakee counties, with Main Street running straight across the line. The town grew around the railroad in the late 1800s, serving the surrounding farmland of east-central Illinois. While an early fire wiped out much of the original downtown in the 1880s, residents quickly rebuilt, establishing the resilient, neighborly roots that still define the area today.
