About Cache

Cache is a Cache County CDP also known as Cache Junction. The 2020 Census counted 38 residents and 16 housing units. The site was first settled in 1867, and the town developed around a railroad junction established in 1890 as an outgrowth of Benson. The railroad no longer uses the stop, but Cache's name and road connections keep that earlier movement visible. The small settlement sits in the agricultural Bear River valley, where a former rail crossing and a handful of present-day homes mark the community's place in northern Utah.
