Cainsville, MO

Set along the river in rural Harrison County, Cainsville got its start in 1854 around Peter Cain’s grist mill. The settlement grew quickly as shops, a post office, and eventually the railroad moved in, bringing a brief boom around the turn of the century. Today, Cainsville is a quiet, close-knit farming community of fewer than 300 residents.
