About Caledonia

Caledonia is a village in Caledonia Township, Boone County, Illinois, United States. The 2020 census counted 183 residents. Caledonia is part of the Rockford, Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area. A post office was established as Caledonia Station in 1853, one year before the settlement was established. The only school in Caledonia is Caledonia Elementary School, after which students go to one of Belvidere's or Poplar Grove's middle schools.
