Calvert City, KY

Calvert City is a Marshall County home-rule city of 2,514 residents in the 2020 census, set on the south bank of the Tennessee River thirteen miles above its meeting with the Ohio. The city limits reach southeast to Kentucky Lake, so the local map runs from riverfront industry to lake country. Potilla Willis Calvert built Oak Hill in 1860, then gave land for a railroad station; that rail connection helped turn his settlement into the city that followed.
