Campbell, FL

Campbell is an Osceola County census-designated place and unincorporated community in the Orlando-Kissimmee metropolitan area. The 2020 census counted 2,610 residents. The community is also known as Campbell City, a name tied to Alfred Sidney Campbell, who opened a general store here. County systems provide its fire, emergency, and administrative services; Campbell has no incorporated municipal government. Its location north of Poinciana places the community inside a broad Central Florida service and commuting network. That fire station is a visible civic institution.

Osceola County Fire Rescue's Station 43 now serves Campbell City from a facility on Whispering Pines Boulevard. The station began as the Campbell City Volunteer Fire Department and became part of the county's fire-rescue system in 1989, giving a specific local institution a long public-service history. County history places Osceola's formation in 1887, when it was carved from Orange and Brevard counties. Campbell's present-day identity is that of a named community operating inside a much larger county and metro system.
