Campbell is a city in Mahoning County, Ohio, situated along the Mahoning River directly southeast of Youngstown. Originally incorporated as East Youngstown around the steel mills in the early 1900s and later renamed for industrialist James Campbell, the residential community of approximately 7,784 is served by the Campbell City School District locally.
