About Carneys Point

Carneys Point is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Salem County, New Jersey. Settled in 1727 by Irish immigrants and later developed to house workers for the local DuPont chemical plants, the historic community of approximately 8,050 is served by the Penns Grove-Carneys Point Regional School District for public education.
