Carrizo, AZ

Carrizo is a census-designated place on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation in Gila County, Arizona. The community's name is Spanish for reeds and is believed to derive from the Carrizo band of Apache. The settlement is home to the historic Black River Bridge, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is served by the White Mountain Apache Tribe's Fort Apache Connection Transit bus service.
