Cartersville, GA

Cartersville is the county seat of Bartow County, on the northwest edge of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Originally known as Birmingham, it was founded in 1832 and later developed into a regional center for manufacturing, services, and tourism. Booth Western Art Museum and Tellus Science Museum give the city unusually strong cultural draws for its size. Cartersville feels like a North Georgia county-seat city with Atlanta access, a historic downtown, and enough museums and industry to stand on its own.
