About Carver

Carver is a city in Carver County, Minnesota, situated along the northern bank of the Minnesota River. Named in honor of early English explorer Jonathan Carver, the historic community of approximately 6,200 is located at the mouth of Carver Creek, once the site of a Wahpeton Dakota village. Traversed by U.S. Highway 212, the city features a well-preserved historic downtown and is served by the Eastern Carver County School District.
