Casco, WI

Casco Junction is a quiet rural community in Kewaunee County, situated among the rolling fields and dairy farms just east of Luxemburg. The area gets its name from its history as an old railroad transfer point connecting lines between Algoma, Sturgeon Bay, and Kewaunee. The tracks have since been converted into the Ahnapee State Trail, and Harold Reckelberg Park now serves as a handy local trailhead where neighbors and visitors can park and hop onto the path.

Life here is distinctly peaceful, surrounded by wide-open farmland and scattered country homes. Having the trail right down the road is a huge perk for outdoor lovers, offering miles of scenic routes for walking the dog, biking, horseback riding, or snowmobiling in the winter. It offers the privacy and space of deep countryside living, all while keeping grocery runs and schools in Casco and Luxemburg just a short drive away.
