About Cave Creek
Cave Creek is a small town on the northern edge of the Phoenix metro, bordering Scottsdale, Carefree, and the open Sonoran Desert. It was settled in 1870 by soldiers from Fort McDowell, and prospectors later found gold in the area. The town keeps a deliberate Western flavor, backed by places like Cave Creek Museum, Frontier Town, and Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area. Mountains, desert washes, and a quieter distance from central Phoenix do a lot of the work here.
