Celeryville, OH

Celeryville is a small, quiet farming community tucked just a mile south of Willard in Huron County. Home to a little over 200 people, the settlement was founded by Dutch immigrants who turned the local marshlands into some of Ohio's most fertile farmland. True to its name, the area built its reputation on celery and fresh produce, and the rich, dark soil still supports sprawling family-run vegetable farms today. State Route 103 runs right through town, making it an easy trip into Willard or southwest toward New Washington.

Daily life here centers on agriculture and close community connections. Families have the option of Celeryville Christian School right in town, while the Willard City School District provides public education nearby. The area is also home to Ohio State’s Muck Crops Agricultural Research Station, which works closely with regional growers on crops like lettuce, radishes, and onions. For groceries, healthcare, dining, and other everyday conveniences, residents make the quick five-minute drive north into Willard.
