Center, IN

Tucked into Taylor Township just southeast of Kokomo, Center gets its name from sitting right near the middle of Howard County. Founded in the 1850s, the settlement was originally called Tampico before residents chose a name that simply described its location on the map. Today, the area keeps a low-key, peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by open skies and farmland while staying comfortably close to the city next door.
