Centerport, NY

Centerport is a North Shore hamlet in Suffolk County, set along a protected harbor on Long Island Sound. It was once known as Little Cow Harbor, and the current name points to its position between Huntington and Northport. The best-known local landmark is Eagle's Nest, the former estate of William K. Vanderbilt II, now associated with the Vanderbilt Museum and planetarium.
