Central High, OK

Central High is a quiet, spread-out community in Stephens County with just over a thousand residents. True to its unusual name, the town grew up around a consolidated school district founded in the 1920s, long before the area officially incorporated in 1995. Even today, the local school campus serves as the main landmark and gathering hub for families across the surrounding countryside.

Located west of Marlow and just northwest of Duncan, the area is defined by rolling pastures, quiet county roads, and plenty of open space. Most everyday life centers on youth sports, school events, and ranching. Residents head into Duncan or Lawton for larger grocery runs, dining, and medical care, which gives the town an easy balance of peaceful rural living and nearby city conveniences.
