About Chatham

Chatham is a town at the northern border of Columbia County, New York, bordered north by Rensselaer County. Formed in 1795 from parts of Canaan and Kinderhook and settled early by Dutch and Quaker families, the suburban and rural community of approximately 1,669 has its public K-12 education administered by the Chatham Central School District locally.
