Chillicothe, OH

Chillicothe is a Scioto River city in southern Ohio and one of the state's most historically important places. The surrounding region was a center of the ancient Hopewell tradition, known for ceremonial earthworks, and Chillicothe later served as Ohio's first capital. The Majestic Theatre has operated for more than a century and a half, adding another layer of civic memory. Chillicothe feels historic, river-bound, and distinctly southern Ohio, with old streets, mounds nearby, and Appalachian foothills beginning to shape the landscape.
