About Cinnamon Lake

Cinnamon Lake is an Ashland County CDP built around a 135-acre reservoir in Jackson Township. The lake community was established in 1970 by Avland Developers and later transferred to the Cinnamon Lake Association, which now manages the private recreation community. Six units hold roughly 1,700 lots across 883 acres, with common areas, six miles of shoreline, and the Muddy Fork watershed feeding the lake. The water is the place's organizing feature: the reservoir supports fishing and electric boating, while the association's roads and shared facilities make this an internally managed neighborhood rather than a traditional village center. Cinnamon Lake is a planned lake community whose address is really a shoreline and a set of gates.
