Circle, MT

Set in the rolling prairie of eastern Montana’s Redwater Valley, Circle is a quiet, friendly town of around 600 people. As the McCone County seat, it offers handy everyday conveniences like a unified K-12 school system, local clinic care, and county services. It also sits at a central crossroads along Highway 200, making it straightforward to head south to Glendive or east to Sidney whenever you need bigger-city shopping, healthcare, or regional travel.

Life here is rooted in ranching traditions that go all the way back to the 1880s, when the community took its name from a local cattle brand. That history is kept alive at the McCone County Museum, a collection of historic pioneer buildings and old farm machinery centered around an original train depot. Summer brings everyone together for the annual county fair and PRCA rodeo, filling the town with energy.
