About Claremore

Claremore is the county seat of Rogers County in northeastern Oklahoma, set in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. The area has Osage history, later Cherokee and settler history, and a downtown that serves as a regional hub northeast of Tulsa. Claremore is also strongly associated with Will Rogers, whose museum and memorial are among the city's most recognizable places. It feels like a Route 66-era Oklahoma town with hills, schools, rail history, and enough civic pride to stand apart from Tulsa's suburbs.
