Clarksville City is a small, quiet East Texas community tucked along U.S. Highway 80 between Gladewater and White Oak. Straddling the line between Gregg and Upshur counties, it grew out of early stagecoach stops and 1930s oil boom camps before officially incorporating in the 1950s.
