Clear Lake Shores is a charming island community tucked along the water in Galveston County, roughly thirty miles south of downtown Houston. Home to around 1,300 residents, the neighborhood got its start during the 1920s as a quiet weekend getaway for city dwellers seeking coastal breezes. Today, it retains that relaxed, resort-style feel, where neighbors frequently get around by golf cart, chat on morning walks, and spend their evenings watching boats drift across the water.
