About Clinton

Clinton is a Summit County village on the Tuscarawas River, with the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath running through town. It began as Savannah when the place was laid out in 1816, then settled into the Clinton name and a village grid that still meets the river. The Clinton Trailhead, Elizabeth Park, and the Rhoads-Harter Home keep the canal-era and Underground Railroad stories close at hand. Clinton is Akron-area Ohio in a river-and-towpath shape.
