Clinton is a city in Custer and Washita counties, Oklahoma, situated in the Washita River Valley. Historically famous as a major tourist stop along Route 66 and home to the nation's first state-sponsored Route 66 Museum alongside SportChassis headquarters, the community of approximately 8,388 is served by the Clinton Public Schools district for public education.
