Clinton is an easygoing western Oklahoma community of around 8,500 residents, situated in the Washita River Valley right along Interstate 40. Built up during the railroad days and made famous as a key stop on historic Route 66, the town still embraces that retro heritage, most notably at the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum. For newcomers, Clinton offers quiet neighborhoods, an affordable cost of living, and a traditional downtown with local diners and small businesses that cater to the surrounding farming country.
