Commerce City, CO

Commerce City is also a major industrial and employment hub for the Denver area. The southwestern corner and main highway corridors host extensive freight routes, logistics warehouses, and Colorado's only commercial petroleum refinery. That commercial presence keeps the local tax base strong and provides thousands of nearby jobs, though it also means certain neighborhoods experience steady freight traffic and an industrial backdrop. If you prefer quiet suburban streets and wide-open mountain views, neighborhoods farther north like Reunion provide a completely different feel while keeping Denver International Airport within a quick 15-minute drive.

For recreation, the city offers some great amenities that cater to both halves of town. Sports fans regularly head to DICK'S Sporting Goods Park to catch a Colorado Rapids soccer match or participate in local adult and youth leagues across its dozens of outdoor fields. Residents also get access to two impressive community hubs: the updated Eagle Pointe Recreation Center in the south and the modern Bison Ridge Recreation Center in the north, which features swimming pools, fitness classes, and indoor tracks under a single resident membership.
