About Conner
Conner is a census-designated place in Ravalli County, Montana, United States. The 2020 census counted 182 residents. Conner is named for the village of Conner, which it encompasses. The village was named in 1906 for the first homesteader, Aaron Conner. The short version is that Conner carries an earlier story into the places people know and use now. That is the local read on Conner: its past remains attached to the places people use now. Conner is located at the confluence of the East and West Forks of the Bitterroot River. U.S. Route 93 passes just to the east of the CDP, leading north through the Bitterroot Valley 24 miles to Hamilton, the county seat, and south over Lost Trail Pass 69 miles to Salmon, Idaho.
