Cookstown, NJ

Cookstown is a quiet, tight-knit community in Burlington County, sitting right next door to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. With fewer than a thousand residents spread across a couple of square miles, it has the relaxed feel of a classic country crossroads. The area gets its name from William Cook, who ran a local sawmill here in the late 1700s, and that early American history is still evident in the older homes along Main Street and Wrightstown-Cookstown Road.
