Coolidge, TX

Coolidge is a quiet rural town in Central Texas, located in northern Limestone County. Home to just under 800 residents, the town got its start in the early 1900s as a railroad stop and farming hub. Today, life here moves at a relaxed pace among open pastures and family cattle ranches. Sitting at the junction of State Highway 171 and Farm Road 73, Coolidge gives residents plenty of country quiet while keeping them within a quick drive of bigger spots like Mexia and Waco for shopping, dining, and medical care.

Daily life mostly revolves around the local schools and neighborhood gatherings. Coolidge Independent School District educates local kids, while the town's former elementary school has found new life as a civic center for family parties, graduations, and quinceañeras. There is also a strong sense of local heritage, visible in the restored railway depot and a small museum inside City Hall displaying vintage farm tools and old yearbooks.
