Copperas Cove, TX

Copperas Cove is a Central Texas city west of Killeen, closely tied to the Fort Cavazos area. Its early growth followed cattle routes, rail shipping, and the development of a depot that served nearby farmers and ranchers. The name comes from mineral-rich springs in the area, and the hill country edge still gives the city a rugged setting.
