Cos Cob's Bush-Holley House preserves both a New Nation-era waterfront home and the place where artists helped establish Connecticut's first Impressionist art colony. From 1890 to 1920, painters and writers stayed at the Holley family's boardinghouse and worked along the Mianus River and Cos Cob Harbor. The Greenwich Historical Society now runs the National Historic Landmark as a museum, with guided tours that interpret the house's 1790-1825 period and the art colony. Its campus also hosts exhibitions, archives, education programs, and public events. Present-day community activity still follows the harbor and the main east-west transportation line. Cos Cob Park places a walking track, athletic fields, playground, picnic tables, gazebo, outdoor theatre seating, and Greenwich's September 11 memorial beside the water. As of July 2026, the Cos Cob branch of Greenwich Library has a renovated community room and spaces for children, teens, and adults; it opens six days a week and provides public programs, printing, and access to the town library system's collections.

Metro-North's Cos Cob station is on the New Haven Line, connecting the neighborhood with Stamford, New Haven, and Grand Central Terminal. Cos Cob is also a census-designated place within Greenwich rather than a separate municipality. It had 6,873 residents in the 2020 census. For 2020-2024, the median owner-occupied value was $1,210,400, monthly owner costs with a mortgage were at least $4,000, and median gross rent was $3,067; 67 percent of occupied homes were owner-occupied. During that period, 25 percent of residents were foreign-born.
