Country Squire Lakes, IN

Country Squire Lakes is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Geneva Township, Jennings County, Indiana. It was founded in 1973 as a planned community built around Country Squire Lake and several smaller artificial lakes. The main reservoir sits on Six Mile Creek, while lakes on the western side drain toward Mutton Creek. Both streams flow southwest toward the Vernon Fork of the Muscatatuck River and the larger White River watershed.

The community's road pattern follows the lake system, with residential streets running between water, wooded lots, and open parcels. Indiana State Road 7 traces the northeastern edge, leading about three miles southeast to North Vernon and about eighteen miles northwest to Columbus. The Country Squire Lakes community association maintains a clubhouse, marina, beach, fishing areas, playgrounds, basketball court, pavilion, and lake rules that shape how the shared spaces are used. The result is a Jennings County place whose defining feature is its engineered shoreline network. Six Mile Creek supplies the drainage line, while the lakes and roads give Country Squire Lakes its recognizable form on the northwest side of the county.
