Covington, GA

Covington is the county seat of Newton County, east of Atlanta, with a historic downtown square that gives the city more character than a typical outer suburb. The Covington Historic District reflects its older civic roots, and the city was named for Leonard Covington, a War of 1812 figure and U.S. congressman. Covington is also familiar to many people as a filming location, especially for television productions shot around the square. Newer industry is part of the story too, including planned eVTOL aircraft manufacturing by Stellantis and Archer Aviation.
