Crandon, WI

Crandon sits on the northern shore of Lake Metonga, deep in Wisconsin’s Northwoods. As the seat of Forest County and its only incorporated city, it serves as the civic and commercial center for the surrounding rural area. Daily life moves at a quiet, unhurried pace, surrounded by miles of thick timber, scenic county highways, and easy access to the water.

Outdoor recreation is central to living here throughout the year. Lake Metonga and nearby Lake Lucerne offer excellent boating and fishing during the summer, while winter brings cold-weather hiking, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. The city also hosts the famous Crandon International Raceway, which brings a burst of energy to town on big race weekends. Outside of race season, the community settles back into a peaceful routine where neighbors know each other and the Nicolet National Forest is right in your backyard.
