Crescent, GA

Crescent is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in McIntosh County, Georgia, along State Route 99 about twelve miles north of Darien. The road moves through a coastal plain of pine woods, marsh edges, drainage ditches, and scattered homes before reaching the county's larger service center. The community's name comes from the crescent shape of a nearby coastal inlet, and a post office has served the place since 1890.
