About Crisman
Crisman is a Boulder County CDP in Fourmile Creek's valley in the Front Range, high above Boulder. It began in 1874 as a mining camp named for the Crisman Mill, then became a stop on the Greeley, Salt Lake and Pacific Railway. Silver, gold, floods, and the 1890s market crash all left marks on the place. Today the canyon road and mining names do most of the talking. Crisman is mountain Colorado in a small, high-elevation pocket where the creek and the mines set the tone.
